Where We Grow

INK’s rebrand is truly the whole ball of wax. It’s more than just a name: our rebrand reflects our services evolution, our company personality, and our business growth. And it’s not just about why and how we work, but where.

INK grew 135% since the start of 2014, and was recently named to the Inc. 5000 list of the nation’s fastest-growing private companies and Austin Inno’s 50 on Fire. In that same time, our industry focus expanded from our long-standing and innovative client partners in technology and clean energy to new client partners in consumer markets, specifically food and craft beverages, and corporate markets, including financial services and non-profit. This growth meant a nearly quadrupling of staff and expansion of our Austin headquarters, establishment of a presence in Denver (INK West), and the opening of an office in New York City (INK East).

Let’s start with INK HQ in Austin, shall we?

In early October, 20+ INKers will start working out of our newly designed headquarters at 2717 South Lamar off Manchaca Road. Designed by architect Josh Mackley and constructed by Roost Custom Homes, our new 4,000 square foot industrial-style office space features a variety of work environments to match our culture and creative workflows. The new office is also a celebration of Austin art, featuring work by contemporary artist Jason Archer, muralists Mike “Truth” Johnston, Lucas Aoki and Jason Eatherly, and textile artist (the original yarn bomber) Magda Sayeg. Stop by and say hey when you’re in the ’04. We’re excited to be here!

In 2015, we decided to physically spread our wings and opened our first satellite office. We chose to tackle the western US first, and have quickly grown to eight communications professionals working in Denver’s LoHi area with client partners such as ad tech leaders Choozle and VigLink. INK West will continue its staff growth in Colorado, aligning the agency’s deep expertise in technology, clean energy, and craft beer with the region’s top growth sectors. When we’re not working, we’re enjoying all of the outdoor fun and beautiful seasons Colorado has to offer.

And finally, in order to balance our presence across the US, and reinforce our relationships in arguably the most important media hub in the country, we opened INK East in April of this year. Long-time INKer  and well-known trailblazer Candice Eng has relocated to lead INK’s new East coast office out of WeWork Irving Place in Manhattan. Named PRSourceCode’s Top Tech PR Pro in 2013 and PR News’ Agency Account Manager of the Year in 2015, Eng has been described by the latter (as well as her co-workers and clients) as an “all-around PR badass.” She’s already applying her persistence to grow INK East in service of existing and new INK clients on the East coast, as well as provide “feet on the street” media relations support to INK clients across the country.

I won’t say “coming to a city near you” – after all, no matter where we live physically we do our work nationally, and as 1BHF (that’s our management and culture philosophy of “one big happy family”). But I will say we’re on a roll – and we’ve got you covered.
