Growing up in a military household, I moved around a lot before settling in San Antonio. The military life suited me, and staying true to my nomadic upbringing, eight years ago I decided to explore all that Austin had to offer and haven’t looked back. Although I’ve made Austin my home, I make it a point to travel as much as I can to scratch my inherent itch for new culture and experiences.
I chose the non-traditional path straight out of high school and began my career in property management learning about investor relations, people management, sales, accounting and marketing. After ten years in multi-family housing, I changed course and enrolled at The University of Texas (Hook’em!) where I studied public relations. Upon graduating, my interest in complex industries led me to an internship at INK where I fell in love with the people and their work. I guess they liked me too, because now I support our communication and resourcing teams in a permanent capacity and couldn’t be happier to grow my career and learn as much as I can.
Outside of work, you can likely find me jamming out to my latest musical obsession (currently Frank Ocean, yes, I’m late to the game), on the hunt for the best chocolate chip cookie, or talking dinosaurs with my son, Maxwell, while simultaneously running the trail at Lady Bird Lake. Two birds one stone, right?
