Traci Koller Mazurek
With a dad from Connecticut and a mom from Texas, I consider myself 75% Texan, 25% Yankee. A Yexan, if you will. However you phrase it, I’m a bubbly Dallasite with a love of all things preppy and nautical (especially Garbo’s lobster rolls).
Upon graduating from Baylor University in 2005 with a degree in Journalism-PR, during which I lived in Times Square and interned at a boutique travel PR firm, I moved to the Big Apple with stars in my eyes and a craving for bagels. I kicked off my PR career at Edelman and FleishmanHillard, where I focused on tourism and consumer goods before taking a hard left, working for a hedge fund that, thankfully, was nothing like “The Wolf of Wall Street.”
After a few years in NYC, I moved back to Dallas and began my digital career with the National Breast Cancer Foundation. Somewhere in here, I discovered Twitter, and promptly used far too many hashtags. (Thankfully, those #darkdays are behind us.)
I married a born-and-bred Austinite and moved to south Austin, working as the social media manager for MapMyFitness, Inc., before moving to R/GA to create editorial content and social and paid strategies for customers like MasterCard and Royal Caribbean. My final role before INK was as a Social Content Strategist at Spredfast, leading and creating data-driven social playbooks, paid strategy, content strategy, and more for customers like HomeAway, TiVo, and Caesars Entertainment.
When I’m not at work as INK’s Senior Digital Manager, I’m probably on Twitter, reading anything I can get my hands on, Googling photos of great white sharks, or hanging out with my husband, daughter, and three incredibly lazy cats.
