I’m a PR junkie, which means I like to dabble in everything. I handle client services, manage accounts, pitch media, post to social media, write plans and bylines, organize events, and everything in between. At the end of the day, my biggest goal is to ensure my clients, my teams, and the people working on them are in the best position to be successful. And I’ve been doing a pretty good job at all of this if I do say so myself but if you need more than my word, PR News’ PR People Awards named yours truly Agency Account Manager of the Year in 2015.
My biggest PR passion is media relations. It’s kind of my thing, and I’m really good at it. I’ve been named a Top Tech PR Pro by PRSourceCode and if I could spend every day pitching, I would. I love the persistency and resiliency required to do it. I believe that there is always a story to pitch – just find the right angle and the right target.
I bring a diverse background of agency, sports, and non-profit experience to my work. My previous stints include The University of Texas at Austin Athletics Department, Big 12 Conference, Cohn & Wolfe, and Make-A-Wish Foundation. I graduated from UT with a Public Relations and Business Foundations degree.
Here are a few things to know about me. I can speak mandarin Chinese and Cantonese. I cannot live without coffee — it’s a physiological need. You should probably throw whiskey and scotch in there too. I like bodies of water and boats. Sports rule my life — baseball is my favorite. I have a major thing against “The Wave” (especially at sporting events), wearing socks, Styrofoam, and losing. I like to win.
