We’re joined today by Helen Schafer, co-founder of Austin’s own Tiny House Coffee Roasters. Tiny House works directly with farmers in Nicaragua to sell their coffee, which puts more money in the farmers’ pockets. Helen discusses how Tiny House got started, the value of community within a brand, her time in the Peace Corps, and what her perfect cup of coffee and mug look like. You’ll also hear about her majestic kayaking trip through the Central American jungle. It’s guaranteed to leave you on the edge of your seat.

In addition, you may have been hearing a bit more gobbling lately – which makes sense, since Thanksgiving is right around the corner. Joey and Kim chat about their favorite turkey traditions, as well as the essentials for a quality Thanksgiving day. And, if like Kim, you’re doing your own Turkey Trot this year, feel free to send us a picture! She could always use a little inspiration on her runs.
