Ep. 17: Running For a Great Cause

  • October 20, 2016
  • Joey Held

On this episode of the INKcast, Joey and Kim chat with Gilbert Tuhabonye, founder of the Gazelle Foundation, a non-profit here in Austin that works to provide clean water to residents of Burundi. In just 10 years, the foundation has provided more than 60,000 people with clean drinking water.

Gilbert talks about his life growing up, and the reasons why he started his foundation. He also discusses Run for the Water, the foundation’s annual event where people all across the globe can participate in a 5K or 10-mile run. We’re already training here at INK, and it’s all for a terrific cause. If you’d also like to get onboard and say hello out on the course, register here.

In addition, it’s nearly that time of year to don a costume and do some trick-or-treating. While Kim and Joey are probably both too old to be going door to door for candy, they’re certainly not too old to eat said candy. They discuss their favorite sweet treats, costumes and holiday movie traditions, and have a ghoulish time doing so.
