INK Retreat: Good for the Soul
A few weeks ago, we INKers closed up shop and packed our bags for our annual summer retreat. Instead of trekking out to a lake for a remote getaway like we’ve done in the past, we opted for a one night stay-cation at Hotel St. Cecilia, a posh boutique hotel in the heart of Austin’s South Congress district.
We kicked off our retreat with a hearty meal at Juan in a Million and got to shake the hand of the mighty Juan himself!
A few migas and Don Juans later, we headed over to Hotel St. Cecilia and checked in for an afternoon of pool lounging and team bonding. Margaret Mead once said, “Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed people can change the world. Indeed, it is the only thing that ever has.” While we may not be changing the WORLD, per se, we certainly are committed to moving mountains for our clients by working as a cohesive unit. Retreats like these truly refresh our minds and team relationships.
After an evening of silly team awards (thanks, Starr, Kari and Blair), too much Home Slice pizza, a few scoops of Amy’s Ice Cream and several rounds of Cards Against Humanity, we were beat. The following morning, in true, dedicated INK fashion, we were back to work doing the thing we love most: PR!
